How do I fillet an aloe leaf?
1. Clean the aloe leaf with a damp cloth.
2. Cut the lower part of the aloe leaf.
3. Cut the leaf into pieces of about 5-8 cm.
4. Separate the side thorns.
5. Now separate the outer shell from the fillet on the flat side of the piece,
6. Now separate the peel from the fillet on the other side of the aloe leaf.
7. Use the fillet pieces to make your own creams, lotions or gels or as an accompaniment to salads or smoothies. Before using, we recommend rinsing the gel pieces thoroughly with water.
It is best to use a ceramic knife to fillet an aloe leaf (like for all vegetables and fruits).
